Colleen has been an Enrolled Agent since 2024 and is permitted to practice before the IRS.  This includes preparing and filing federal and state tax returns via IRS e-file, as well as acting with power of attorney and representing clients to the IRS. Colleen is also an IRS approved Electronic Return Originator (ERO).  With eight years experience in banking as well as four years professional tax experience, Colleen is well versed in many financial products and investments and their tax treatments.  Her experience includes preparing complex with returns with a variety of income sources such as investments including digital assets, rentals, royalties, sole-proprietorship, trusts and K-1's from partnerships and S-Corporations to name a few. As an EA, I am required to take continuing education courses to keep current on the ever changing tax laws and follow the guidance in Circular 230. Though I am based in the Capital Region of New York State, I am permitted to file tax returns for clients located anywhere in the US.
